Adrian’s role at QASSS is to work closely with stakeholders including government and regulators to ensure that QASSS is helping to deliver solutions that help consumers and businesses. This can involve meeting and influencing key decision-makers and opinion formers as well as putting together and carrying out effective policy strategies. Adrian also ensures that we as a business are fulfilling requirements of our approval bodies such as the Chartered Trading Standards Institute. Part of his role involves monitoring and analysing government policy to ensure we can react quickly and appropriately to changes in policy.
Adrian loves working for QASSS because he can see that we are making a real difference for consumers and our members. He finds it motivating to work for an organisation that genuinely wants to do the right thing for consumers and raise business standards. His key achievements are getting CTSI Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) approved, leading on the implementation of Assignment of Rights (AOR) which means more consumers can get access to renewable technology which has, in turn, created a route to market for members. Adrian was really happy about being recognised by CTSI as a Trading Standards Practitioner and being offered the role of CTSI Lead Officer for Renewable Energy and Home Improvements.
Outside of work, Adrian is a season ticket holder at his beloved Tottenham Hotspur and a father to three boys. In his spare time, he volunteers at Medway Samaritans where he is a Listening Volunteer and a Shift Leader.
